A biennial plant with large, greenish-white flowers and fern-like leaves, commonly used in herbal medicine for its aromatic and medicinal properties. Warms a cold, stiff, weakened body; Especially warming to the stomach, spleen, and intestines. Useful for poor digestion, colic, intestinal cramps. Promotes perspiration so useful for reducing fevers. Also aids recovery from colds, flu, and congestion of the lungs. Externally useful for sprains, bruises, and muscle and joint pain.
